Developed and implemented public relations and public education programs for four Department divisions, addressing complex, sensitive, and often controversial issues surrounding children in crisis—critical to departmental operations. Coordinated all media and public events for the Cabinet Secretary and Governor, served as the primary media contact, and acted as a liaison to the Governor’s Office. Responsibilities included writing and editing press materials, releases, and newsletters; providing media training for Department officials; crafting speeches for the Cabinet Secretary and Governor on children’s issues; and representing the Department on division committees and community partner groups.
