A Management and Financial Accountant with 10+ years commercial experience having worked in the Media, PR, IT, Hospitality, Property, Travel, Professional, Manufacturing, Legal and Education sectors of the UK market. Responsible for producing financial reports such as the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, as well as assisting with the Annual budgeting process, forecasting and the Cashflow. Practical experience in UK GAAP and IFRS. Theoretical knowledge of US GAAP. Preparation of monthly Management Accounts and Draft Financial Statements, which includes preparation of working paper schedules and backing documentation. Responsible for the evaluation of the underlying classification and allocation of transactions and variance analysis with a commentary. Practical hands on bookkeeping, and cost accounting experience, as well as financial accounting. Preparation submission of UK VAT returns, P35’s, P60’. Commercial awareness, with problem solving ability, strong analytical skills and excellent communication; both written and verbal. Works independently, as part of a team ,or in a standalone position.I have been working as a contractor for several years for personal reasons. I have been fortunate that my skill set has enabled me to do this for a while. However, my personal situation has changed and I am now able to consider working in a permanent position and would be happy to consider temp-perm opportunities.
