Named "one of the most creative people in business by Fast Company," a "woman of influence" by Success Magazine, and “one of the most influential designers working today” by Graphic Design USA, Debbie Millman is an author, educator, strategist and host of the podcast Design Matters. First launched in February of 2005, Design Matters is now one of the first and longest running podcasts in the world, and Debbie has interviewed over 600 creative luminaries. The show has been awarded a Cooper Hewitt National Design Award, a Signal Award, it’s been nominated for two Ambie Awards, 10 Webby Awards (winning two) and Apple Podcasts designated it one of the best podcasts of 2015, 2022 and 2023.Debbie’s illustrations have appeared in The New York Times, New York Magazine, Baffler, Afar, Fast Company and more. Her artwork has been exhibited in the Boston Biennale, Chicago Design Museum, Anderson University, SVA, LIU, Wolfsonion Museum and Czong Institute for Contemporary Art. She has been artist-in-residence at Cranbrook University, Old Dominion University, Notre Dame University and SUNY Oswego. She has designed wrapping paper and beach towels for One Kings Lane, greeting cards for Mohawk, MOO and Card-To-Art, playing cards for DeckStarter, pajamas for Pixiee, candles for Wax Cabin, notebooks for Shutterstock and Baron Fig, and T-shirts for Within The Fold and MerchAid.Debbie was President, Design at Sterling Brands for over 20 years where she worked with more than 200 of the world’s largest brands, including the redesign of Burger King, Haagen Dazs, Tropicana, merchandising for Star Wars, and positioning and branding the No More movement and the Joyful Heart Foundation.In her own practice, Debbie has worked with The Broadway Museum, NASA and the JPL, Lamba Legal, the Department of Justice, and many more.Debbie is a frequent speaker and has presented keynote lectures at Design Yatra in India, Rotman School of Management, Princeton University, Yale University, Hong Kong Design Association, TypoBerlin, Melbourne Writers Festival, Festival of Art+Design in Barcelona, ING in Dubai, Design Thinkers in Canada and more. Her TED talk has over two million views and was named one of the top 10 talks of 2020.Debbie is the Editorial Director and co-owner of PrintMag.com and a board member of the Joyful Heart Foundation.
