Previously worked in the Growth and Neighbourhoods Directorate in Manchester City Centre. I was responsible for mitigating problems through effective communication with key stakeholders, and where necessary enforcing legislation under 60/61 of the Control Of Pollution Act, The Licensing Act 2003, The Clean Neighborhoods Act, Town and Country Planning Act, Environmental Protection Act and Building Regulations to remedy issues to ensure public safety and a balance between the needs of residents and the need to progress development in the city. Facilitated positive relationships across the Neighbourhoods Teams, other directorates and City Centre residents and businesses in order to achieve the priorities for Manchester as set out in the Our Manchester Strategy, the Neighbourhoods Business plan and Ward Neighbourhood Plans.

Work included research into the Leapfrog Progrmme to enable the jump to renewables for Africa, development of the Vision and strategy documents, site selection, meeting with funders, PQQ and tenders. This project stalled due to lack of funding.
