Portland New Family Fund is a nonprofit that provides birth and postpartum doulas to low income families, while paying doulas a living wage.

Through its oral history book series, VOW’s work is driven by a strong belief in the transformative power of the story, for both teller and listener. VOW’s education program serves over 20,000 people annually and its oral history pedagogy has been used to train a broad range of advocates, educators, writers, journalists, attorneys, and medical doctors. Voice of Witness was cofounded by author Dave Eggers, writer and educator Mimi Lok, and physician Lola Vollen.

Communications consultant and AJWS Volunteer Corp Fellow with Heshima Kenya (now RefuShe), the first and only organization in Kenya devoted to identifying, protecting and empowering separated and unaccompanied refugee girls and young women living in Nairobi.- Increased visibility and engagement through optimizing website, social media, blog, and media outreach strategies- Managed website and organized launch of new site. - Wrote and edited content for email newsletters, blog posts, reports and website. - Developed strategies for the production of donor publications and communication/fundraising campaigns. - Developed a photo bank to convey programs and impact. - Taught weekly photography and journalism class.- Advised ED and staff on overall communication strategy

Assisted director on American Experience: Mary Pickford, a feature length documentary aired nationally on PBS April 2005. Responsible for post-production of project, including archival footage & stills research/acquisition, rights and clearances, overseeing interns, completing production bible and fact-checking.

Pre-production research for non-fiction television shows and field PA. Duties included general office assistance, proposal writing, and on-set production assistance for such clients as the BBC, Channel 4 (UK), and A&E.
