Because any measure of success I have experienced is the result of someone else seeing me as an individual possessing attributes worth cultivating. I'm passionate about the value of military spouses, because we are often unseen and unheard, but we will get the job done every time. I believe in saying ‘yes’ when we can, and ‘no’ only when we must. I’m committed to removing barriers.I was privileged to launch Microsoft Software & Systems Academy in San Antonio and build it into a flourishing program. More recently, I spearheaded Microsoft's Military Spouse Technology Academy which is Microsoft's newest initiative to provide military spouses with critically needed access to education, professional development, and employment opportunities. My key skills are:● Program building & program management● Career coaching & skills training● Curriculum development● Working within a matrix team● Recruitment● Cultivating cross collaborative partnerships● Identifying and developing relationships with key stakeholders● Event planningI am also honored to volunteer with Wish for Our Heroes (W4OH), a charitable organization that exists to meet the basic needs (food, shelter, water) and overcome the financial hardships of Active Duty military families and some veterans. In the last 10 years, W4OH has raised $18M and granted 35,000 wishes with minimal (4-5%) administrative costs.
