CurrentPROFESSIONAL & CAREER HIGHLIGHTSPublic Speaker & Trainer• Presenter on a variety of topics including: trends in Allied Health, leadership and motivation.• Market, motivate, and speak to students on successfully transitioning from high school to allied health programs.• Create formal and informal workshops related to public health and for improving working teams in companies.Administration & Budget • Provide input to the administration regarding proposed policy and administrative changes which could affect the department's operations.• Prepare and submit annual staffing and budget proposals as well as monitor the budget throughout year.Policy & Procedures • Implement and monitor the compliance of the department including: procedures and general academic policies.• Create departmental curriculum revisions and implementation.• Preside over department meetings and serve as the primary departmental contact for recruitment, and retention efforts.• Promote a team effort within the department for addressing departmental and institutional issues.• Mediate conflicts between departmental faculty and manage student grade appeal/complaints.Curriculum & Instructional Practice• Research, recommend and assist with implementation of methodologies and practices that lead to improved engagement and achievement.• Design teaching methods and practices that create a culture of growth and development.• Promote instructional practices that are modified and differentiated to meet the needs of the individual learner.
