Girl Meets Voice, Inc. is a boutique coaching firm offering transformative thought partnership on writing for scholars, leaders, and creatives. We provide access to possibility by helping lift barriers—internal and external—to sustaining one's creative life's work.As founder and principal, I have coached over 140 writers into print, including a college president; scores of university faculty; a senior advisor at The Aspen Institute; a Women Moving Millions founder; communications leaders at Microsoft; teams of scientists; nonprofit board members; and DEI teams. Offerings include one-on-one coaching, experiential workshops, strategic creative consulting, and customized retreats.

Directed, oversaw, and professionalized young arts education nonprofit founded by Audrey Niffenegger designed to help people tell their stories and transform their worlds into books. Responsibilities included strategic planning, program management, fundraising, fiscal management, communications, staff recruitment, implementation of the Board’s directives. In one year, cultivated 86 new donors, increased newsletter subscribers by 30%, expanded social media reach by 50%, brought in over $50,000 in donations and in-kind services valued at $103,000.

HumanitiesX is a Mellon-funded collaborative that joins faculty and students from DePaul University with community partners from Chicago-area arts, cultural, and civic organizations that demonstrates what can be accomplished—in our classrooms and our city—by interdisciplinary teams that apply humanities methods to real-world projects. Played key role in HumanitiesX's launch and success. Designed and supported the HumanitiesX fellows’ learning community; managed the Collaborative’s operations and budget; coordinated communications and publicity to amplify the accomplishments of the Collaborative; and assisted with the evaluation of the program’s impact and outcomes.

Led groups of 20 scholars annually in an intensive fellowship program designed to dramatically increase the influence of women and other under-represented experts in the public sphere. Fellowship years included 2012-2013, 2013-2014, 2018-2019.

Launched “pop-up” online course collective initially designed to capture diverse pandemic narratives, including those of essential workers, for archival and publication purposes. Developed programs and curriculum delivered to 70+ participants through public workshops and private programs, resulting in publications in venues such as The New York Times and Slate and storytelling events. Recruited master teachers with experience in journalism, media, book publishing, public speaking, and live performance. Raised $25,000 in course fees.
