I am teaching Exhibition Design I and II, and Introduction to Museums in the Museum Studies program.The courses provide an introduction to the theory and practice of exhibition design and museums. Students receive instruction in the basics of organization, layout, and installation of art exhibitions from concept to completion. Field trips to area museums afford students the opportunity to view behind-the-scenes tours and talks with museum professionals throughout the Boston area.

I lead hikes in Maine for hikers of all ages and abilities teaching about star gazing, fern identification, wildflowers, and geology; my programs on nature sketching and watercolors teach observational skills and are fun!

Land Preservation - I have been an original member of the Open Space Committee which, working with the town of Stoughton, has helped acquire of hundreds of acres of land for preservation in the last ten years.

The School Committee hires the superintendent and is responsible for District policies.The role and responsibility of the School Committee is policy, strategic planning, District goals, and accountability. We guide, review, and monitor educational progress and policy. We represent the public interest. As Chair, I facilitate the meetings, assign members to committees and projects, and help set the agenda.

I managed the design of many multi-million dollar exhibits from concept through final design and construction, including:• Quest for Immortality, the largest collection of Egyptian artifacts ever to tour North America displayed against a backdrop of vibrant colors that recalled the palette of their ancient creators;• Ramesses the Great, blockbuster exhibit that brought 800,000 visitors to the museum in four months;• Science Live! Stage, a dingy lab gutted and completely transformed into much heralded stage for museum educators;• Community Solar System, the first size-and-distance scale model of the solar system with a 15-foot sun at the museum and a pea-sized Pluto at a train station nine miles away - outdoors, accessible, vandal-proof;• Natural Mysteries, interactive exhibit on classification that showcased natural history objects, many of which had lain hidden for decades in museum archives; • Tropical Rainforests, evocative 3D moving sound environment with treetop canopy research station reached by ascenders.
