We are working towards a world with more local solutions to local challenges.- As the first Executive Director at Twende, I stewarded a team of Tanzanian as the only foreigner on payroll. Now the team is entirely Tanzanian.- Secured years of financial sustainability for the organization through diversifying revenue streams, from 1 single project donor and handful of individuals, to multiple long-term institutional donors, establishing online donation platform, and initiating earned revenue streams- Introduced and co-created new programs, such as:+ Piloted 6 iterations of incubation programs. Expanded program outputs from 1 workshop of 30 students, to 90 workshops of 1,800+ participants across 22 schools and 17 organizations+ Co-founded a collaborative network of aligned innovation centers in 4 countries - governed by the local innovation center staff. Wrote proposal and secured €100k+ funding from Finnish government fund to implement pilot+ Launched volunteer program. Recruited and managed 60+ volunteers from 13 countries, including researchers, industry professionals, consultants, students, and out-of-school youth
