Vice/Deputy Chair of the Lancashire and Cumbria IG Leads Group. Only stepped down from role after I had left my employed role at Blackpool Council.A group comprising of IG leads from NHS (Hospital Trusts and Ambulance Service), Local Authority, Police, and private sector health care.

My role in Council was changed to focus on promoting and supporting the Council's Information Governance remit in terms of Information Risk, Information Legislation and Information Sharing. Working with internal and external colleagues to ensure Information Governance principles and minimising risk to data are embedded in projects, and contracts. Responsibility for final ‘sign-off’ of the DSPT (IG Toolkit).Undertook the primary liaison role between the Council and ICO, and Information Tribunals.A trained investigator (ACAS), investigating alleged data breaches and reporting findings to a Breach Panel, and advising panel on associated legislation. Investigator for HR matters.I represented the Council’s interests at the Lancs and Cumbria Information Sharing Gateway (ISG) Groups, and managed the ISG for the Council to ensure our Information Sharing (data Sharing) Agreements are created and stored in this online portal. Vice-chair for the Lancs and Cumbria IG Leads Group.An experienced national conference / main platform speaker.I completed the Master of Laws (Information Rights Law and Practice) (LLM) with Northumbria University in January 2015, with a commendation.
