There is a gap between what should be happening and what is happening that causes a painful problem. From tardy or missing staff members to ineffective performance to inappropriate behavior etc. . . 2) The removal of the painful problem is not easy. How do I know? The pain has been around a long, long, time and when a chance came to remove or heal the pain it was not done or not done well enough to address the real problem. As a result, the painful problem grows longer and deeper roots and observers of the problem grow discouraged. 3) Unaddressed problems get worse. Why? The now painful problem was not always painful. It started as a simple problem that became painful over time. When painful problems are left unattended they too change from merely painful to excruciating. You know when it is excruciating because it keeps you up at night and takes all your time during the day. The good news is all painful problems have solutions.
