At the end of 2023 I traded in my corporate jersey for an opportunity to become an entrepreneur and business owner. Over the past year I have built a successful Pilates studio and business from the ground up , selecting the commercial real estate, project managing the build out , construction and installation of the studio equipment and building the studio membership organically from zero to the several hundred members we have today. I personally selected each member of our team and they are each a joy to work with. We have seen our best ideas be recognized, have defined our culture based on a set of fundamental principles we believe in and have witnessed the results of our hard work and sweat equity. This past June , members of the PGA competing in the Canadian Open selected our studio for their private Pilates sessions! We couldn't be more proud of our studio and our team!My corporate experience includes working abroad and domestically in executive and senior leadership roles at the Ontario Lottery &Gaming Corporation (OLG) and i-Gaming Ontario (iGO) , Computershare, Whirlpool, Fidelity and Bell Canada.I have been recognized as a Top 50 Board Candidate by the Canadian Board Diversity Council, serving as the President and Board Chair for the Woodview Centre for Children's Mental Health and Autism ( 2019-2022). I am currently a Board Director for the Children's Aid Foundation of Halton. I am a certified Comprehensive Pilates Instructor and Practitioner for over 30 years and I can attest to the mind / body connection, physical and emotional benefits of a Pilates practice.
