Provide support to the Senior Management Team including the Director of Operations, Maintenance Manager, Safety & Compliance Manager, Senior Staff Accountant and Human Resources. CLS was a start-up company in 2010, therefore initial duties were: obtain necessary services and supplies such as sourcing an office supplies vendor, postage meter and courier services, vending machine services, etc., submit purchase order requisitions, track the purchase order process, handle all incoming/outgoing mail and deliveries including invoice process/approval flow, assist with travel arrangements, request email addresses for new hires, conduct telephone screening of potential candidates, complete reference checks and take an active role in coordinating logistics for the CLS Grand Opening on Feb. 1, 2011. Later duties added include: sit on the OH & S Committee and take minutes, provide Accounts Payable assistance for seven months (Jan. – July 2012), process Benefits Enrolments for all new hires, compile benefits packages for all staff and forward to employees, promote Health & Wellness, provide reception services at CLS job fairs, conduct exit interviews, interview candidates for Material Handler positions, manage WCB claims, manage the CLS Shuttle Bus service through FirstStudent Canada, maintain the CLS Site Contact List, source vendor for creation of new hire portfolios, handle taxi voucher books, complete internal Learning Logistics training, work with broker to ensure supplies get across the border into Canada, set up meetings, order catering, answer the main phone line and direct calls, order office supplies and other supplies for the site as requested, prepare expenses for the Director of Operations, handle miscellaneous requests from other departments and fill other needs as they arise.
