In Dr. Brian Raught's laboratory, I am using mass spectrometry and CRISPR technology to characterize the biological functions of ubiquitin conjugating enzymes. Initiated collaborations with labs across Canada, assisting in experimental design and analysis and has resulted in seven papers or manuscripts. Developed oral and written communication skills and rewarded by winning a number of best presentation awards at scientific conferences and winning over $100000 in scholarships.

Co-founded and co-led a group of ten students in organizing career development panel sessions and an alumni reception, with the goal of connecting current MBP students with alumni.Collaborated with a number of organization to provide additional programming to our students.

I represented over 200 graduate students in the Department of Medical Biophysics as President of its student association. I liaised with faculty executives to ensure student issues are heard, represented the department at recruitment events and led five committees to organize academic symposiums, social events and departmental reviews.

For three years, I led a team of ten students in organizing, fundraising and developing the scientific program for an annual research symposium featuring student presentations and an international keynote speaker. Each year, over 100 students and faculty attended.

In the laboratory of Dr. Bradley Doble's, I studied the biological function of TCF3 in regulating stem cell biology. I trained and mentored new students and results were published in a high impact journal.
