I graduated from Burlington High School in 1976. Following school I worked various jobs in the Burlington area. Once I became a parent, I was a "stay at home" Mom until my the youngest of 5 started school.Since then, I have been in the food service business, working for the same company for 24 years and in a Supervisory position for 22 years. The start of my career was at an "all you could eat" dining hall, at an educational facility, serving approximately 1000 - 1200 customers on a daily basis. My responsibilities included working with about 30 employees, assuring that the daily operations were executed in a timely, efficient and safe manner. Responsibilities also included opening the building, giving breaks, cash handling, proper signage, and insuring that HAACP, safety and company policies were in place and being followed. For the past 18 years, I have been in charge of over- seeing the daily operations in a very high traffic coffee shop, serving 600 - 800 customers daily. My job includes scheduling, cash handling, ordering of products, product management and customer service. Communicating with staff, vendors and guest, insuring that each person has the best possible experience in our establishment.I have catering experience, which included coffee set-ups, meetings, conventions and high-end events. My responsibilities included participating, directing staff and communicating with clients and guest services.
