With over 1,000 employees , this portfolio has the strategic responsibility for the Human Resources function within the Distribution Sector of the ANSA Mc AL Group of companies. The companies in the Distribution Sector provide an unparalleled marketing and distribution footprint that covers the Caribbean Region and USA. With approximately 400,000 sq. ft of warehouse capacity and services over 14,000 retail outlets. The Sector spans companies in Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados and Guyana, including Alstons Marketing Limited (AMCO), ANSA Mc AL Trading Limited (AMTL), Bryden Stokes Limited (BSL) and TWEE Duty Free Stores.Operating as a Strategic Business Partner, the role is a key member of the Sector Executive Management Team with primary responsibility for all aspects of Strategic Human Resources Management inclusive of Industrial Relations, Performance Management, Talent Management, Leadership and Organisational Development, Transformation and Change Management and Total Rewards within the Sector. Core accountabilities include leading the delivery of HR strategies and objectives through a team of professionals to develop an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance; providing sound advice, strategies and solutions for the successful delivery of the Corporate Strategic Plan and Objectives; management of all Collective Bargaining Agreements as well as all industrial relations functions; leading the sector-wide process of organization development that addresses issues such as succession planning, employee engagement, key talent development and employee retention, organisation design, and change management.

Responsible for overseeing the proper functioning and future development of all aspects of HR in the consumer section of the business. Responsible for directing the policies and practices of the company, the ethical and social consciences of business and the laws, regulations and administrative rulings of governmental organizations and other regulatory and advisory authorities and organizations throughout the consumer markets. Acts as a strategic partner to the business, developing and driving organizational effectiveness and supporting the group on all major initiatives.

The Group Head of Human Resources Southern Caribbean Region has ultimate responsibility for all people based activity within the region from both an operational and strategic perspective.
