Part of enjoying retirement has been taking the time to develop the artist in me. I've taken flower arranging classes from a local florist, and provided flowers for a few weddings/ events. I've had a blast designing custom hand lettered signs for weddings and various events. Probably my favourite has been my garden. This was my 5th year gardening in what used to be the side yard. I was able to convert the space, and create 7 raised beds. This year I made a lot of pesto, pickles and pickle relish, canned tomatoes, and provided a variety of herbs to the neighbors.

School of Worship Rock is a community based organization providing youth, ages 6-18, with a "band experience". Campers are matched up with those who are of similar age and skill set. Camp consists of an elementary (1st-8th grade) experience, and a high school experience. Elementary and High School camps are run separately to accomodate the unique differences in maturity and ability. Elementary campers experience teamwork through band rehearsal and other group work, discover their talent, learn more about their faith through Bible study and skits, express themselves through other forms of art, participate in game time and snack. High School campers experience teamwork through band rehearsal and other group work, an discover their talent, learn more about their faith through Bible study and skits, plan and participate in a community service project, develop song writing and filming tools. Both groups come together for a "performance night" where they perform their songs and skits in front of a live audience. There are also opportunities for individual speaking parts. A video of each group's process is shown. Former Campers who have graduated from high school, or are close to graduating and have shown musical talent and an ability to work with peers/younger campers have an opportunity to become a paid intern each summer. I provide organizational/administrative support, youth development strategies, mentoring and supervision, and design/teach art/craft projects for youth ages 6-18 for this summer camp.

* Provide coaching/mentoring to Development/Volunteer Coordinator, regarding development strategies, outcome measurement, marketing, recruitment/retention of donors/volunteers, mentoring program, and fundraising ideas/opportunities. * Involved in collaborative leadership team effort to plan/implement the annual fundraising event. * Serve as a mentor in the Precious Lamb parent mentoring program.

Directed and managed day-to-day operations of two Clubhouses, two Citywide Departments, and Data Management. Responsible for the oversight of community relations, compliance of company’s standards of programs and services, facility maintenance, personnel management (recruitment, training and coaching), and volunteer management. Oversaw and managed program budgets and exercised fiscal control over program execution.

Charged with the development and implementation of new adolescent department in a full service medical clinic. Department grew to include: on-site treatment, school based intervention/treatment, and various community based services to five school districts and other community based organizations. Developed and conducted agency trainings for: intake and assessments, mandated reporting, treatment planning, and file audit. Recruited, hired, trained, and led high-performing team of professionals in implementing evidence based programs in a variety of agency and community settings.
