Responsible for the design & delivery of work related/career based activities into schools and education providers in Norfolk & Suffolk. Carrying out training programmes on how to prepare curriculum vitae, develop interview skills and team building. Also involved in health & safety on-site visits, carrying out risk assessments on employers participating in the local council/school work experience programme.

Established new department providing work related learning and enterprise activities into the school curriculum. Delivering a work experience programme to 240 young people. Developed links with local employers, implemented mentoring schemes, access to apprenticeships and 1-2-1 careers advice and guidance. Involved in improving alternative curriculum for those young people that needed something different from the standard GCSE's. In my first year I introduced the Young Apprenticeship programme into the curriculum with six students taking part in the Boat building and Marine Engineering course, the following year we broadened the offer of vocational courses to include Hairdressing and Hospitality with a further 8 students taking part, in my final year we had over 40 young people accessing different courses at two local colleges. I was involved in a number of new initiatives within school looking at ways of developing alternative curriculum pathways for those students who could benefit from a more hands on style of learning. These included the double club delivered by Norwich City Football Club, aimed at year 7’s struggling with the transition from primary to secondary school. Having raised £15,000 through bids I was able to secure a two year programme of activities at the Whitlingham Education Centre whereby students worked towards Asdan Gold awards in the Environment alongside a few other smaller awards i.e. John Muir.

Worked as part of a small team providing tendering and procurement services for third parties. Buying meters on behalf of electricity and gas suppliers. Liaising internally with technical and commercial departments. Negotiating contracts in excess of £30 million pounds, conducting supplier reviews within the U.K and Europe. Responsible for all administration, including preparing tenders, contracts and making necessary changes following negotiation. Managing the full process and implementing new procedures to meet strict EU legislation. Planned & implemented performance monitoring for key accounts managed supplier’s development programmes. Responsible for standardisation & implementation of new tender & contract documentation into department.Involved in co-ordinating Windows NT role out, and implemented training plan and migration for team members
