Support $1M Violence Prevention and Intervention Programs in Alameda County Supervise and train 6 staff (Intervention Specialists and VP Educators) through the management of Teens on Target, a VP program that trains youth leaders at 2 Oakland High Schools to teach VP curriculum to MS students, as well as the management of VP services to justice-involved youth or youth most likely to be involved in or affected by violence, support policy work to improve our systems and best practices

Working with Oakland Unite, Probation and Alternative Education sites, 50 Justice-Involved Oakland youth are served each year through this violence prevention program that provides intensive case management to youth most likely to be involved in or affected by violence. The Alternative Education office channels voter approved public safety/violence prevention funds that have been awarded in a collaborative effort to reduce recidivism, improve school performance and overall outcomes for some of Oakland's most vulnerable youth.

Innovatives in Re-Entry program offering permaculture certificate, case management, trauma-informed support circles and entrepreneurial skill training

Investigations in the Own Recognizance Unit involves preparing probable cause under strict deadlines for review by Duty Judges for the City and County of San Francisco, working in collaboration with SFPD, SF Sheriff's Department and Court Services, including the launching of the highly anticipated on-line system. For the OR unit, those arrested are interviewed from County Jail to determine eligibility who for potential release on their Own Recognizance. A model for interagency collaborations between community organizations and the Criminal Justice system (Courts, Probation, Police, Sheriff), the agency provides an essential function to the Courts on a daily basis and directly reduces the jail population, allowing non-violent, non-serious offenders to be released from custody while facing criminal proceedings.

Federally funded Juvenile Diversion Program serving 100 Alameda County youth per year, focusing on the city of Oakland, offering youthful offenders a Restorative Justice and victim-driven approach and period of community supervision in lieu of criminal prosecution for high level misdemeanor and felony cases in a concentrated effort to reduce Disproportionate Minority Confinement while simultaneously addressing the safety needs of the community.
