I organized public policy discussions and candidate debates, including some of the largest Mayoral and Congressional debates in particular races. In my community relations capacity, I led outreach efforts to intergroup partners, the media, law enforcement, educators, and hosted the largest local Holocaust commemoration for the Northern Virginia community. My outreach to intergroup partners included service on local interfaith boards and advisory groups and deepening bilateral ties with interfaith leaders. My media outreach included press releases and interviews with local and national media outlets on issues affecting the Jewish community. With local and national law enforcement I hosted security briefings for Jewish institutions and sent security advisories. I developed trainings for educators on Jewish themed topics in our efforts to foster a welcoming environment for Jewish and all minority students in schools.

Produced US Department of Defense (DoD) cost estimates & presented them to the UN resulting in a $20M reimbursement to DoD for UN peacekeeping operations.For the National Security Division of the Office of Management and Budget: analyzed model for contingency operations costing. Researched troop deployments and costs for past contingency operations. Wrote briefing for the Director on 20 years of DoD supplemental appropriations. Briefed National Security Director on Congressional activity on the FY96 Defense Authorization /Appropriation Acts, and FY95 Supplemental. For Peacekeeping Operation in Haiti and at Fort Bragg Headquarters: created financil reports to support United Nations reimbursements. Created databases and reports to monitor $30M in obligations for Operation Uphold Democracy - Haiti. Wrote After Action Report for Pentagon briefing following my deployment. For the Office of the Secretary of Defense – International Security Policy: drafted budgets for the $400M annual Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) Program and tracked Congressional appropriations and DoD financial obligations for the CTR program. CTR funds the Former Soviet Union to eliminate nuclear weapons. For Army Program Analysis in Evaluation (PA&E): monitored Army unfinanced requirements during creation of the Army’s 6 Year Budget Forecast.For Army Budget Operations and Support Division: assisted in defending $1.1B in Army funds before Office of the Secretary of Defense. Briefed decision makers on flaws in the Army management System Codes (AMSCO) and provided alternate solutions.
