-Teach general studies in the public school system utilizing the therapeutic recreation theories and principles which increase involvement in classroom studies, completed a research study, “Should Therapeutic Recreation Be in the School System?”

-Design and implement recreation programs and therapeutic recreation groups for all populations, such as home health services for seniors, social services agencies and school systems.-Creator of the Outdoor Adventure Sea Scout Program & Alvin D. Sims Mentoring Program -Teaching through Therapeutic play came into effect under the Alvin D. Sims program, it involved working with partners such as the Chicago Police Department, Chicago Public Schools, Chicago yacht club, Girl Scouts & Boy Scouts and other private agencies.-Wrote Grant Proposals to fund the Mentoring Program.-Worked with community and advisory groups on community outreach to determine recreation/leisure needs for all populations.-Maintained records covering course registration fees collected, bank accounts, payroll/timekeeping, accidents and other routine reports.-Developed partnerships between school system, health industry, social services, park district, military, community agency and university.
