Debra manages federal grants for Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Her focus is to provide funding to eliminate drunk and impaired driving for programming and educating the public in the latest deterrent technology, and to provide assistance to the victims of this violent crime. This allows teams to build strong relationships with law enforcement throughout the region and allow the necessary and important support to the victims of this 100% preventable crime so the organization moves towards ending impaired driving forever. Debra began her career in Law Enforcement starting as a Police Officer in 1989 and moved through the ranks and retired in 2009 at the rank of Assistant Chief of Police. She has an extensive background in budgeting, managing grants, and work flow analysis as a certified LEAN facilitator. Debra has worked closely with all aspects of public administration and is a graduate of the Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Institute of Texas. She is a graduate of Leadership Richardson and has sat on many community boards and organizations across North East Texas. She started at MADD as a Program Specialist in 2010 and was promoted to the Regional Grant Director for the Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi region.
