As needed, I work with the publisher to write or update curriculum materials.

I help families who are homeschooling get the credit and resources they need to be successful.

Teacher for English 1, co-taught English 1, Read 180, and ELD4. Also advisor for the Chinese-Vietnamese-Korean Club and on a school committee to investigate advisory/tutorial class structures. At the district level, I was the teacher of record for a creative writing course held on the weekends, taught by the amazing writer and activist Tyson Amir.

I worked with teachers of English classes for struggling students (English 1 Support, English 2 Support, Read 180, System 44, Genres of Composition) to get the training, resources, and support they needed to be successful with their students. I also developed and delivered workshops related to Read 180, independent reading programs in the classroom, Common Core State Standards in English and other subject areas, Step Up to Writing across the curriculum, and orientations for the courses I supported. Finally, I got involved in the union-level committee to determine scholarship awards for children and grandchildren of union members.
