My passion and dedication is for justice and equality for people with mental health conditions. Being a peer worker I have the opportunity to work in individual and systemic advocacy. As founder of the Victorian Mental Health Peer Collective I wish to encourage, educate and empower consumers to be proactive and knowledgeable about the system and their recovery journey. With the many changes to the Mental Health Act in 2014 and the implementation of the NDIS it is imperative that consumers and carers are equipped to manage in the constraints of the new act. Currently working with the NDIS DSO project to develop education strategies for people with mental health issues to navigate the NDIS.
