I have extensive Transplant Coordinator experience in all aspects of a moderate to high volume Liver Transplant program beginning in 2003 at the Cleveland Clinic. While maintaining responsibilities in liver transplant, I was also appointed as the Face Transplant Coodinator after having participated in the care of the first near total face transplant done in the United States in 2008, and as well as subsequent face transplant candidates and recipients. In September of 2014, Vascular Composite Allgraft Transplantation (VCA) policies and bylaws were implemented by UNOS. At this time, I became the VCA Transplant Coordinator at the Cleveland Clinic. In July 2015, began the process of organizing a team to begin the Hand Transplantation program, for which pre and post-transplant coordinator roles will be assumed. We began evaluating patients for this program in September 2015. In August 2015 was appointed to the Uterine Transplant Team, and assumed the pre and post-transplant coordinator role. Began evaluating patients for this program in September 2015. Also assisted the intestine transplant team during a critical staffing shortage for a few months in 2015. From 2017 to 2019 I was the Lead Transplant Coordinator/Assistant Nurse Manager for Kidney and Pancreas Transplant, while continuing with hand and face transplant coordinator responsibilities. In 2019, I returned to the Uterine Transplant team and supported the pre-liver transplant team, while maintaining hand and face transplant coordinator responsibilities. In late 2021 I was moved from supporting the liver transplant team to kidney transplant waitlist management to help fill a critical staffing shortage while again maintaining VCA (hand/face/uterus) responsibilities. I have demonstrated flexibility with the Transplant Center at Cleveland Clinic as I have been involved in quality initiatives in liver, kidney and VCA, as well as administrative projects and transplant research activities.
