Program Manager for the President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) Malaria Communities Program (MCP) under the Maternal and Child Health Integrated Program (MCHIP). Provided support to the PMI MCP team and technical assistance to 20 grantees implementing community-based malaria projects in 12 countries. Technical assistance to grantees included development of M&E plans, remote and on-site assistance with planning and implementation of rapid household surveys, and development of supervisory checklists for community health workers. Also Technical Advisor for USAID’s Child Survival and Health Grants Program (CSHGP), providing support to USAID’s CSHGP team and technical support to grantees. Led Lives Saved Tool (LiST) analyses for MCHIP, delivered trainings and conducted analyses including estimating potential impact of packages of interventions during the program design phase, and estimating impact of coverage changes achieved in sub-national PVO/NGO program areas on mortality. Co-authored MCHIP’s guidance on integrating equity into project designs, and worked with MCHIP’s M&E team to provide guidance on integrating gender and equity into country work plans and grantee projects. With the USAID-funded MEASURE Evaluation project, co-created a M&E training curriculum for NGOs based in Burma, Cambodia, and Laos implementing community-based malaria, HIV, and TB projects. Trained facilitators from the Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR) at Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand on the curriculum, and assisted IPSR to facilitate the training.Gender point person at ICF. Conducted an evaluation of the GAVI Alliance Gender Policy.
As part the Maternal Child Health Integration Program (MCHIP) PVO/NGO Support Team, provided technical support to USAID's Child Survival and Health Grants Program (CSHGP) and the President's Malaria Initiative's (PMI) Malaria Communities Program (MCP) grantees. Organized the first Malaria Communities Program Training Event, held in Nairobi, Kenya for 20 grantees from 12 countries; and co-facilitated the Project Design, Monitoring and Evaluation course.
