As President of American Benefits Insurance Agency, Debbie Rodgers is responsible for the daily operations, sales and customer relations for the agency. American Benefits coordinates the sale of Life, Health, Long Term Disability, Short Term Disability, Annuities, Cancer, Critical Illness, Group Health, and Group Life products in Alabama, Georgia and Kentucky. Debbie helps groups and individuals reach their unique goals and expectations by making sure that they choose the policies that best fit their needs. Debbie’s reputation for developing solid relationships with dependable insurance companies enhances American Benefits’ capabilities and also serves to provide top quality representation for Debbie’s clients. Prior to establishing American Benefits in 1998, Debbie served at Southland Life/ING and Confederation Life in marketing and sales roles. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Management from the Business School of Management of Atlanta in 1988. Debbie has also served as Director of Shop with a Hero since 2007. This non-profit agency has raised more than $100,000 to help underprivileged children during the holidays. Shop with a Hero partners with Kohl's department stores, who contributes ten percent of proceeds from its gift cards, and this allows children to go shopping with a community hero such as a fire fighter, police officer, EMS, military personnel, etc. “Community involvement is something about which I feel very strongly, and I’m immensely blessed to be able to contribute as director of such a fantastic organization.”
