Manage a team consisting of 3 Business Analysts and 5 Enterprise Programmers, one help desk staff and two training staff to support a web application for medical research (animal research, human subject research, safety in research, and Funding Proposals through Grants and Contracts office). The application is based on business process management that tracks business process workflow and moves to different states throughout its lifecycle. Application interfaces with feeds to and from College Oracle financials systems and does system-to-system communication with grants.gov (submission of funding proposals). Interface with business units, MCW-IT, Oracle development, and vendor Click Commerce/Huron Consulting. Project management, application development planning and budgeting, interdepartment communication and strategic planning for improved overall business processes and efficiency.

I'm in a short contract position as Business Analyst, finalizing requirements and use cases and tech specs for an update of a Web tax filing software application

* Manage and direct globally distributed team of technical writers* Collaborate with engineering teams to prioritize, identify, scope, and resource for documentation deliverables to support product releases* Analyze processes and tools and improve for efficiencies and flexibility* Track resources, costs, priorities, timelines and continually make adjustments based on changing engineering timelines and priorities

*Expanded team of six U.S.-based Java technical writers to team of 12 writers in Russia, France, India, and US, resulting in expanded documentation support for Java platform products at 30% cost savings.*Contributed to overall company goal of student and university growth targets by creating and participating in Java Tutorial Community portal (http://javatutorials.dev.java.net). This effort resulted in several thousand student and university page hits per month.*Directed, scoped content for, and followed through to delivery two tutorials for the new JavaFX Script Programming Language. These tutorials are currently being referenced by new JavaFX platform screencasts, training materials, roadshow presentations, and Java evangelists and are the most highly visited web documentation for JavaFX product to date.
