It is often said an organization is only as strong as its people. While I agree with this sentiment, it takes much more to be successful. Yes, you need a staff of well-trained, highly motivated personnel. However, you must also have a solid foundation of policy and procedure, proactive forward-looking strategic plans and solid leadership that can guide the ship through storms. This is what an effective operations manager offers. For more than 15 years, I have demonstrated my operations management experience. Many years ago, I launched and operated a successful small business. Although I have no desire to go back into owning my own business, this experience taught me how to manage the entire scope of a business operation and was the launching point of my career. I have worked for vRide since 2000. I began by managing the Arizona market. In this role, I grew the Arizona market by almost 70% and found ways to save $150K+ in costs annually. From 2007 to 2014, I managed vRide’s entire Western Region of 9 states. I continued my track record of sales and business development increases between 40 and 65% and discovered cost cutting measures that saved $1M+. In 2015 I was selected to direct our newest division, Field Fleet Operations. This division was created to provide laser focus on the company's second largest asset - our fleet of over 8000 vehicles, and to provide the structure and discipline that will allow us to create efficiencies.I am not satisfied with status quo. I will not rest on my laurels because that is “the way we have always done it.” My skills bring an intuitive ability to define the most efficient and effective method to meet company goals and objectives while leveraging all its resources to position the company for a positive future. I invite and solicit feedback and input from my team at all levels. It is through this collaboration that people become invested in the process, buy-in to the strategy and are motivated to excel.
