In this fast paced global economy, a company’s traditional approach may no longer be adequate to stay ahead of competition –particularly when encountering fierce competitive challenges for the first time- and I love nothing more than blocking a competitor with an effective marketing strategy. . My reputation is a marketer who knows how to ‘listen’ – listen to customers, business partners and, yes, competitors. ‘Listening’ is proactive and often under-rated. It requires reaching out to key constituents to glean new insights, identify unmet problems, find new opportunities or points of differentiation. I am currently in the midst of an intensive study of social media marketing strategy. It will be exciting to incorporate these new sources for both ‘listening’ to and communicating with customers.
