I have 30 + years of experience in leadership, teaching, multi agency collaboration, program development, management, evaluation, and data-driven decision making. My professional experince also includes, medical social work, children and working with children who have special health care needs, child abuse/neglect, delinquency, divorce mediation, mental health, adoption, hospice, assisted living, RCACs, long-term care facilities, and health care. I taught adult learners in the field of social work for over 15 years and the undergrad and graduate levels at the University of Wisconsin Madison and Whitewater. Provided agency and community trainings in ethics and boundaries, mindfulness, and professional self-care, child abuse/neglect, and many other topics related to staff support, and popluations of adults, children, and families. I completed my Doctor of Social Work (DSW) in 2016 and focused on Mindfulness-based Interventions for Youth with Anxiety Disorders.

Responsibilities include leading interdisciplinary department and divisional team members; assisting with pursuing projects; building and maintaining strong relationships; racial health equity perspective, developing scopes, fees, contracts and subcontracts; working with ARPA funded projects within DHS/Division of Medicaid, Bureau of Children's Services, State of Wisconsin, tracking and monitoring scopes, schedules, and budgets for small to large projects; scheduling and facilitating team and advisory meetings; developing and delivering presentations, creating solutions and strong focus on strengthening partnerships. Working with a skilled media company to plan and create marketing materials (print, TV, social media, etc.) and distribution of Wisconsin Wayfinder promotional items. -

Medical Social Worker, Child Protection TeamUw American Family Children'S Hospital Jan 2011 - May 2013In collaboration with a mutidisciplary team, including a peditrician specializing in child abuse and neglect, the Child Protection Program at UW-Children’s Hospital promotes safety and well-being of children through the provisions of comprehensive clinical services; education and outreach to clinicans and community partners; and collaboration with community partners in the prevention of child abuse and neglect. As the social worker on the team I consulted with medical professionals and other team members in the hospital setting. We conducted interviews with individuals and family members, assessed child and parent needs and abilities, connected with collateral contacts, and made referrals to mental health providers, and social services, as needed. We specialized in evaluating for child abuse of all forms, neglect and medical neglect and consultation related to community resource information. As a team we collaborated with multiple community agencies including child protective services, human services agencies, mental health professionals, and law enforcement. I worked on research projects, publications and several IRB’s. In addition, I did numerous presentations in the community related to child abuse and neglect, prevention, and served as a representative on the Dane County Child Protection Collaborative which strives to address prevention and education in our community.
