My personal mission is to make independent living a presumption for my daughter with additional needs and other young adults like her. To this end, I’m building up a network of like-minded people and professionals from around the world , who often appear on my podcast Expanding Worlds, (on Spotify & Apple Podcasts) that want to make a tangible difference to young people’s lives, their aspirations and the choices they can make. I’m always looking for passionate guests making a contribution to appear on my podcast.I’m also the co-founder of The Red Giraffe Solutions, our mission is to support families to plan a better future for their children with additional needs. For me this is a very personal mission to share what I know with other people who are in the same position as I was once in. You never start any journey without some idea of how to get there. and so we developed The Red Giraffe Route Map™️ which identifies the four lines we need to travel with our daughter. At the macro level this is about making sure she has Financial Security. At the micro level it’s about ensuring she has a Purpose, Daily Living skills, and is able to manage her Relationships.Using our VOCAL™️ methodology we then move along each line by clarifying the Vision, identifying the Options, Creating the solution, Assessing progress and finally reaching the Legacy.
