Since 1986, I have worked in various capacities for five Suffolk County Public libraries and their communities. (Library Director since 1997.) I have served the library community as President of two professional library associations (PLDA, SCLA) as well as having served the general community as President of the Rotary Club of Port Jefferson and President of the Southampton Rotary Club.I have served as a member of the Long Range Planning, Marketing & Public Relations (Chair), and Resource Sharing Advisory Committees of the Suffolk Cooperative Library System.I enjoy sharing my experiences in administration and public service through mentoring, teaching new managers and prospective administrators and presenting to a variety of audiences throughout Nassau and Suffolk and at professional conferences. Keeping an organization current and maintaining a progressive approach to its service program are critical.Experiencing continuous professional and personal growth remains a focus.
