Currently supporting efforts with Beautykind and a local start up while past projects have included Juice Plus' Tower Garden and Frito-Lay, Inc.

Supported key initiatives in several functional areas. Projects have ranged from new product introductions to large productivity initiatives to marketing display transformation. Analyzed several make versus buy initiatives as well as mainstreaming a new acquisition into Frito-Lay. Focus on due diligence, P&L metrics, in-depth analysis, competitive benchmarking and strategic fit for long term growth as well as capital and capacity forecasting and ad hoc studies.

Responsible for the procurement and inventory management for a $4 Billion food service business that supplied over 18,000 restaurants (KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut) to both company owned stores as well as franchisees through 20 distribution centers and 2 International centers with over 10,000 active SKUs. Managed personnel of 25 management-level employees and 2 clerical employees.

Continued responsibilities as outlined in Sr. Engineer role with more emphasis on the strategic planning and analysis for future projects and initiatives as well as supervision and development of 5 Engineers. Active participation in all new product introductions which included P&L development as well as Operational Planning and CAPEX (Capital Appropriation Requests) planning. Authored and presented to senior management at Frito-Lay and PepsiCo, the capital requests for the above projects

Provided in-depth project analysis of a variety of projects ranging from new plant scope and capital justification to new products to productivity initiatives. Developed the CAPEX for projects that met company criteria. Recipient of the Technical Excellence award in 1988.

Managed the manufacturing and packaging of several new pharmaceutical products produced Internationally. Key role in ensuring all of the equipment, capital and material needs were communicated to the appropriate groups and kept senior management apprised of the progress of this key new product introduction. Directed and managed all International plants productivity project identification, implementation and tracking. Also responsible for all capital projects related to the International plants.

Recruited to G.D. Searle to manage the growth of their new Consumer Products division. Responsible for the production and material planning for all consumer products which included Metamucil, Dramamine, Equal Sweetener, and Icy Hot. Key accountability in the rollout of Equal Sweetener that was the single largest product introduction in G.D. Searle’s history. Production of all products included both in house plants as well as contract manufacturers. Improved forecasting accuracy by increased communication with Marketing and use of historical data which lead to lower inventory levels, improved order fulfillment and minimized obsolete inventory. Collaborated with an outside systems vendor to design and implement an MRP/DRP system to help streamline the rapidly growing needs of the division
