1996-2000 Promoted to Clinical Director/Associate Director for the agency. Responsible for the clinical supervision of mental health and substance abuse services to adults, children and families, including outpatient, intensive outpatient, prevention, school and home-based treatment for children, and community support programs. Responsibilities included attending all management meetings with director and coordinating mountain outreach project.

Attended all management meetings with supervisor, coordinated orientation of other social work students, recorded time spent in placement by these students, completed a research project on allocation of social work resources (time study), and observed supervisor in all administrative roles

Provided social work coverage on Admissions Ward and Admissions Office, gathered data for psychosocial assessments and discharge forms, interviewed patients and families, accepted referrals to hospital, referred patients to community resources, made recommendations for social work interventions, and participated in multi-disciplinary team staffing.

Promoted twice, to Alcohol Education and to Chemical Dependency Specialist II. Duties included teaching independent living skills, socialization and stress management, coordinating group activities, individual and group counseling, liaison to the District Court System, DUI education instructor, and handling all substance abuse related emergencies.

Provided coverage for 24-hour crisis line, gathered intake information, social history information, provided coverage for shelter for domestic violence victims and their children, and advocated for clients.
