Formed in 1845 as the first U.S. conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, the Archdiocesan Council office supports 140 conferences and operates 10 thrift stores in the greater St. Louis area, with generated revenue of $21M. St. Vincent de Paul - St. Louis provided $14.6M in direct support to 264,000 members of the community in 2020. The Council office supports the community service efforts of more than 3,400 volunteers throughout eastern Missouri.The Finance team is responsible for managing the operational support to all conferences and stores, as well as the monthly financial reporting of the Council activities to the Board of Directors. Additionally, the team manages the reserve and operational funds of the Council office, consolidates annual reporting for all Council office and conference activities, and leads the Archdiocesan Council in the annual audit and reporting for the Form 990. The Finance team serves as the single point of contact for internal control management and the internal audits of the 140 conferences.
