Private practice located in both Berkeley and Lafayette, California. Professional interests include: normal and high risk obstetrics, minimally invasive surgery, laparoscopy, vaginal and abdominal hysterectomies, gynecologic urology, and all other aspects of gynecology, menopause, and hormonal issues. Has attested for Meaningful Use successfully for the past three years, 2011-present. Implemented a fully functioning electronic medical record system in medical office.

Joined the Brown & Toland Board of Directors after leading the merger of Alta Bates Medical Group with Brown & Toland. Represent the East Bay physicians on the East Bay Regional Advisory Committee. Also sit on the Executive Compensation Committee and Audit Committee. Actively involved in the creation of and eventual implementation of the strategic plan for Brown & Toland's IPA. This includes the development of the medical home and Brown & Toland's involvement in Medicare's Pioneer Program.

Negotiate with the IPA, currently Brown & Toland, on behalf of East Bay OB/Gyns. Also manage utilization and financial oversight.

Teach residents surgical skills in Gynecology.

Founding member of the Oakland Leaf Foundation, a youth development organization serving low-income Oakland youth. Oakland Leaf's mission is to cultivate community transformation through creative education for youth and families. Chair of the Finance Committee from 2002-2014 and current Finance Committee member. Leadership role in growing Oakland Leaf from an $80,000 to a $1.6 million organization.

Serve as Medical Director on medical service trips to India to train health workers and physicians to screen and treat pre-cancer of the cervix. PINCC's mission is to create sustainable programs that prevent cervical cancer by educating and treating women, training medical personnel, and equipping facilities in developing countries.

Member Board of Directors, Finance Committee, Alta Bates Medical Group IPA, Berkeley, CA 1997-2014, a Sutter Health System affiliated IPA, 65,000 lives. Board and Finance Committee, helped in hiring new CEO and new physician President, replaced medical director, MSO, and computer information system; approved, renegotiated all HMO contracts and provided messenger model PPO contracts. IPA performance improved from $8million loss to profit over course of tenure on Board. During tenure, balance sheet rebuilt from $11 million to $4 million tangilble net equity.. Participated actively in assessing strategic partnerships for the IPA and it's eventual merger with Brown and Toland Medical Group to form one of the largest physician run IPAs in the state.
