American Society of Adaptation Professionals (ASAP) began in 2011 with the vision of building a community of praxis for people whose work intersected in climate change adaptation. ASAP is a network of professionals in adaptation planning, environmental and ecological stewardship, architecture and design, municipal-state-regional- federal-tribal government, local communities, engineering, academia, energy, medicine and the social sciences. This network builds on the strengths of its individual and organizational members, internal and external affiliations, indigenous and place-based knowledge, the social, geological and physical sciences grounded by the commitment to transdisciplinary and transformative problem-solving.
