As the committee chair, I was the steward of the DEI efforts at our company. We hosted company-wide discussions, book clubs, and events to help increase awareness and action. Our ultimate goal was to ensure people were seen, valued, and integrated into our company. In this role, I was given a budget and was tasked to ensure we delivered initiatives on time and at-cost. Anther facet of this position was to hold bi-weekly meetings and oversee monthly initiatives of our 10-14 member committee.

I have the honor of bringing songwriter's melodies and lyrics to life as a session singer by recording lead and harmony vocals as a "demo" (demonstration track) of their music. Musicians/songwriters often use demos as quick sketches to share with bandmates or arrangers or simply for personal reference during the songwriting process; in other cases a songwriter might make a demo to send to artists in hopes of having the song professionally recorded, or a music publisher may need a simple recording for publishing or copyright purposes.RESPONSIBILITIES- Accurately chart and learn the melody of a particular song- Efficiently record the song live and work with the engineer to ensure it is in the correct timing and key- When requested, add BGVs (background vocals) to the track to embellish the melody- Nominated 2 years in a row (2009/2010) as one of the top 5 female demo singers on demosinger.com. - Can cover Martina to Miranda or get down with blues, gospel, & jazz styles- Record compelling lead vocals and instant harmonies- Read music uses Nashville number system

I started and contributed to this blog as an attempt to download all the music scene knowledge I was acquiring when I first moved to Nashville. Glasgow Church is located in Bear, DE and it is a place where you and your family are safe and among friends. The teaching focuses on the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. RESPONSIBILITIES- Supported the Executive Director/Music Minister of the church by helping to select music, manage rehearsals, and create weekly music power points

Vocal Music- Responsibilities included managing 60 students in the Middle School Choir and 75 students in the High School Choir; planning and preparing for four in-house concerts a year; taking the students to festivals to be adjudicated; and Student Senate Advisor.Elementary | Grade 5- Responsibilities included managing 25 students’ records, data, and schoolwork. I was to conduct daily lessons in Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies. I was a member of the African American History Club and a participant in the Math Family Fun Night. I have been trained in 5th grade FOSS and Smithsonian Science Kits. I was one of two teachers in a TAM classroom that had 12 special education students and 12 regular education students. I was an active member on five school committees – School Climate/Discipline, Math School Improvement Plan, Social, Talent Show, and Accelerated Reader.- Responsibilities included fostering character development, providing a Christian-based curriculum, encouraging classroom management, content enrichment and lesson planning, parent-teacher relations/communication within the classroom, organizing 5th grade Science Fair, team-teaching/meetings, creating bulletin boards.International School in Japan (Summer, seasonal position), Grades 4-7- The summer program was a five-week opportunity to let Japanese students practice their English. Daily, the students would read, listen to, speak, and write English. I was required to create a unit that enforced literacy and provided a chance for them to learn about plants and animals through the theme of growth. In the afternoons I ran activities for grades 1-7. With the help of an assistant we were able to go on two field trips into the surrounding communities.
