I have been in the Payroll industry since 1987. I started as a part-time associate and worked my up through the ranks. I was promoted to Compliance Supervisor in 1993, overseeing two associates. We dealt internally with all year-end reporting, all frequencies of tax filings, and all aspects of processing garnishments.I transitioned into the Payroll System Administrator position in 1996. I worked with the different Payroll systems we utilized at Ingram Book. I was the liaison between the Payroll department and the IT staff supporting our systems. With my skills as a power-user in the Payroll department along with my grasp of the intricacies regarding system programs and table set-ups, I worked with a foot in each camp.I was promoted to the position of Sr. Payroll System Admin in 2000. My position was reclassified as an MIS Specialist/Analyst in 2001. In 2002, my position was re-evaluated and reclassified as a Senior Payroll System Admin complete with a salary class upgrade. In 2006, my position was re-evaluated and classified as System Manager. Our entire department was transferred to Ingram Industries corporate office in March of 2014 during a restructure in Upper Management.Currently, I am responsible for maintaining the KRONOS v7.0 timekeeping system consisting of four different databases (or libraries) due to differing characteristics for the groups of associates. Plus, I am also responsible for maintaining the multiple payroll processing controls, set-up tables, and GL mapping for the PeopleSoft HRMS/Payroll system v9.2. Specialties: payroll related items ~ ie: W2 reporting, system setups for KRONOS and PeopleSoft, ADHOC report writing for both systems, etc. This includes the responsibility for service pack testing, upgrade testing, DR Testing scripts, and overall customization change testing (as needed). On a side note: I've held the Director of Hotel position on the Tennessee Statewide Board of Directors of APA for the past 6 years.
