McKesson Pharmacy OptimizationEvaluated IT Department and needs. Created a process to track project backlog using SharePoint. Developed a staff capacity plan and prioritization spreadsheet for senior management to show the IT resources available compared to needs submitted by business areas. Created and documented a project management process to define a consistent method of leading IT projects. Led the IT portion of a highly visible business-critical project that involved parsing 837i EDI records and creating analysis tools for hospital clients to prevent loss in pharmacy billing.CDI ProjectsWrote Business Requirements document for an upcoming pharmacy project that involves new web screens and an interface with another external pharmacy system. Project Manager for a project providing an assessment of a company’s IT applications and procedures. Provided written assessment, recommendations, and installed Team Foundation Server. Have provided estimates for aid in resolving their critical performance areas.Ran tests for a utility invoicing web application in Dubai, rewritten in ASP.Net from VB6. Performed user interface tests and ran database queries to verify the results matched the old application.

Responsible for all aspects of Information Technology for a company with locations in three states. Consolidated network and telephony vendors to reduce costs. Created a company Security Policy and tightened physical and system security which enabled the company to pass assessments and pursue new business revenue. Currently leading a business process re-engineering project which will replace an existing system written in VB6 to a web architecture using .Net and ASP and automating Word document generation. Working with business users to define their processes so the new system will facilitate their work. Designed new SQL Server database to support the new system.

Led projects for special education, compliance, and safe school program areas, which are impacted by the No Child Left Behind legislation. Projects include replacing paper-based reports for Special Education student record reviews with a new web application, to capture data for reporting against federal and state laws and regulations. Led a team of Java developers, SQL Server DBA, and QA resources.

Led a team of up to 18 application developers, managers and team leaders. Applications included an on-line customer service application which supported twelve products, developed in Visual Basic 6, Visual Basic.Net, and batch processes using JAVA, and Oracle PL/SQL utilizing stored procedures.  Led data center migration development effort, converting over 100 mainframe COBOL programs to object oriented JAVA processes in 5 months.

Managed the team that developed the business systems on mainframe and client server platforms, which enabled the firm to grow from a start-up to the tenth largest credit card firm, and top-tier enhancement services provider. Reported to the CIO. Led a project involving multiple areas of IT to upgrade UNIX servers, AIX operating system, Oracle version, and Oracle client version. Included a major in-house billing software upgrade with a large data conversion.  Managed the migration of critical business data and applications in a data center move over nine months. Involved over 350 programs and processes, and over 10,000 datasets.

Developer on claims processing team. Was selected for the team to implement the new claims processing system. Created, maintained, and assured recoverability of 5,000 production and test IMS databases. Duties included database design, monitoring performance and tuning databases. Installed, configured, maintained and supported many mainframe developer tools, such as Telon, File-Aid, and Expediter. Selected as project manager for first client/server project there.
