Creating online courses, coaching and consulting to help both sides come together and create smooth high value partnerships that bridge the gap between business and disability.While at Walgreens, I figured out how to work with the existing systems, tweak some of them and increase the comfort and confidence of the managers. Not everyone starts out knowing what disability inclusion means, and in some cases, managers are nervous about the concept. But in all instances, managers learned and became champions for everyone's success. Our success resulted in:• More than 10% of the workforce = people who identified themselves as having a disability• Cost savings via higher safety ratings and retention• Equal productivity and qualityI did this for the retail sector too, creating training courses for all 8,000 stores to leverage and achieve their goal that 10% of new hires come from the program.This work continues today and are heralded by Walgreens Boots Alliance as hallmark success stories. Recently, I have moved my knowledge base into online courses to serve more individuals than I could via consulting and coaching. Including Modern Job Development, that assists anyone in learning how to effectively connect with business decision makers to facilitate employment. I am devoted to analyzing barriers, designing strategies and tools to increase disability employment rates. The business-value foundation of my philosophy and approach has influenced thousands to impact the way business and disability communities’ approach disability inclusive competitive employment. I provide a truly unique perspective, being one of a handful in my industry to have served from inside of a company, inside agencies and as a consultant. I continue to drive change through thought leadership and practical strategies. My principals are the basic tenets of every successful disability inclusive workforce program.I am often invited to speak internationally, have testified before the US Congress and been featured in hundreds of publications.
