Youth Power Coalition is youth leaders and adult partners working together to guarantee that ALL young people are equipped with the skills, resources, and community support they need to thrive as happy, healthy, and impactful citizens of the world.We do this by building an intergenerational movement for youth-led collective impact through weaving community, making information accessible, developing leaders, mobilizing resources, and advocating for youth power.

Sociocracy for All's vision in which people engage together to meet their individual and collective needs in an equitable way, with respect for all living beings. We do this by promoting a decision-making framework called sociocracy: socio = those who associate together + cracy = rule.My roles in Sociocracy for All include mobilizing donors to make sociocracy accessible across class, language, and sector; ensuring Sociocracy for All stays true to its vision and mission; and being a voice for sociocracy as a tool for social justice.

4.0 invests coaching, community, curriculum, and cash in promising leaders to test tomorrow’s learning models with students and families in their local communities.As a coach for 4.0's Essentials Fellowship, I used my expertise in education entrepreneurship to guide seven aspiring founders from an idea on paper or in their heads to running a small-scale pop-up experience with families, educators, and students.

Nexus Works is an education venture builder. We specialized in customer development for entrepreneurs and innovators who are building scalable solutions to systemic problems in education.We looked for teams of people who:1. Are hungry to iterate based on user feedbackOur clients have included Village Capital, the New York City Department of Education iZone, and the Learning Accelerator.

As an independent consultant, I worked to ensure that programs and products are designed to truly meet the needs of students, teachers, and school administrators. The skills I used on a daily basis to meet the needs of my consulting clients included project and program management, product management, business development, and user experience design.

Achievement First, a charter school network, built the Teacher Career Pathway to be a systematic, coordinated approach to recognizing and developing great teachers as they progress through five career stages: intern, new teacher, teacher, distinguished teacher, and master teacher. I worked to execute on key operational projects, analyze data, and improve operational efficiency.

The team at KIPP Infinity Elementary School believes deeply in developing children, not just as students, but as well-rounded individuals who are happy, healthy, and empowered to solve real-world problems. I was part of the 2nd Grade founding team where I focused on leading unit planning for social studies and science.

There are only two overriding principles at KIPP Academy Middle School: "Be nice. Work hard." In my capacity as the fifth grade science teacher, I not only led my students to over 70% growth on the MAP test (as compared to 50% on norm referenced studies), I also helped foster my students' character and perseverance. The things I am most proud of about my time at KIPP Academy Middle School include piloting, then planning, a whole-school transition from traditional grading to standards based grading, developing multiple project based learning units, and facilitating the creation of the district's first common assessment for fifth grade science.

The KIPP Summer Internship Program (now KIPP Houston Urban Ed Program) matches talented college students interested in education reform with high-need high-performing KIPP schools. As the program founder, I recruited eight interns to serve at five schools in the program's inaugural year, led check-ins throughout the summer, and laid the foundation for the program's growth and expansion as part of KIPP Houston's recruitment pipeline. 100% of program stakeholders in the inaugural year reported having a positive experience and seven of the eight interns continued to work in education immediately after they graduated.
