We have a gorgeous, crazy Herman (German Pointer).In a previous life that feels like an incredibly long time ago, I was a psychiatric nurse for fifteen years ending my NHS nursing career as Lead Nurse for Mental Health. Post NHS I studied my first MA at Brunel and then we lived in Cyprus for 7 years.On return to UK I worked with several charities in coordinator roles, had a short time back in NHS working in community engagement and worked as a Chaplain and Town Centre Chaplaincy Coordinator.I love life and helping other people - did you know that it's scientifically proven that being kind to someone else releases oxytocin in our bodies that actually helps make us feel good - ever found yourself smiling inadvertently after you've had a chance to help someone, however small that action was? That's the oxytocin effect (interesting snippet for today lol) 😊
