· Modernizing a legacy IBM iSeries (I Power 8) Pharmacy Benefits Management system. This COBOL application currently has 22.2 million lines of code. Internal and external businesses will require the modernized system to process three (3) billion transactions per year. We are using Spring Boot, RESTful API, React (React.js), Java, and TypeScript in the technology stack.· Reduced managers workload and increased their reporting accuracy by automating a manual applica-tion testing and release notification job. What used to take over an hour can now be done in less than five minutes. Managers run these via a custom designed Jenkins user interface frontend (Active Choices Reactive Reference parameters). Thymeleaf HTML email templates are used to create pa-rameter driven Outlook compatible email notifications. Cypress.io TypeScript classes and test scripts automate filling in the Jenkins job fields. This is a full-stack Spring Boot CLI application backend (Groovy / JavaScript) application.· Pioneered Kafka research and development efforts. A Spring Batch/Oracle project was successfully retrofitted to employ Kafka technologies. An enterprise goal was achieved on time.· Developed and deployed an Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) Groovy backend application. Rally (CA Agile) milestones are created using data queried from ServiceNow via REST API usage. A twenty (20) hour reduction in labor hours is seen on a weekly basis. Data accuracy is increased.· Automated weekly IBM Power Systems source code deployments by implementing a Jenkins Pipe-line solution. A four (4) hour manual process has been reduced to a 30 minute process.· Automated weekly Sarbanes-Oxley reporting. I developed Python/Jupyter Notebooks processes. These resulted in a 75 percent labor hour reduction while attaining better data accuracy.

Web Development and IT Services Manager, July 1998 – January 2003Alerio Corporation, Mission Viejo, CA• Created application health, event log exception, and process status monitoring programs that resulted in a monthly cost savings of $10,000 to $15,000. These halved the IT staff’s labor hours budgeted to monitor our server labs and production web application server farm. Developing, and deploying Perl, Python, VB.Net, SQL Server, and Oracle RDBMS applications ensured our web based business solutions were operational locally and at IBM’s facility.• Collaboratively designed, developed, and maintained an Active Server Page issue tracking Intranet system germane to the Alerio development team's payroll application efforts. Our system logged bugs, recorded solutions, generated application release notes; supported file uploads, and included threaded message forums. We replaced an inefficient Excel spreadsheet-centric tracking system with one that reduced labor-hours by approximately one-third while markedly increasing information capture accuracy and software life cycle management ease.• Installed, maintained, and managed Oracle RDBMS on AIX, Linux, and Windows NT operating systems. * Developed a Microsoft Access application for managing the External Studies department’s student records.
