The journey into radiology started when I broke my Odontoid process while playing basketball in High school. After getting my ASRT, I wanted to expand my skill level within healthcare, so I continued on for my BSRT and my MHA to round out my educational background. Years of working inside the clinical environment as both an RT and a Director of Radiology I found myself wanting to share my coaching/teaching skills with others. This led me to the commercial side of healthcare, where instead of looking at myself as a sales professional, I considered myself an educator. Teaching/sharing from a personal clinical experience point of view is much different than selling from a brochure. I excelled at being able to connect with people, so it was a natural fit for me. I have achieved some of the highest awards within this industry and regard those experiences as not being possible from just my efforts, but those of the teams that surrounded me. I am extremely lucky to have been on this journey for over 35 years, and look forward to imparting my experiences and techniques to the next generation that comes behind me. A lot has changed over the years and will continue to change as technology and research paradigms continue to push the envelope of medicine. I cant wait to see what comes next.My current chapter is allowing me to expand my drive to complete the diagnosis process of imaging. TeraRecon is the leading Advanced Visualization company in the world and has been for close to 28 years. The technology we are bringing to market will allow physicians to better, quicker, and with more accurately diagnose patients. It is an honor and a pleasure to be a part of this amazing company.
