Aspiring civil rights defense attorney with a lush history of civic involvement at the local, state, federal, and international scales. I serve as a link between the Healey-Driscoll Administration and Worcester County through my contributions as a constituent of Massachusetts’ Youth Advisory Council.I specialize in (1) youth outreach and relations; (2) conducting thorough research to curate policy and enact change; as well as (3) delegating responsibilities among small to medium-sized teams to ensure streamlined success. My recent work exemplifies all of these qualities; here are a few examples:• Interned with the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia to draft a motion to set aside a conviction pursuant to D.C. Code § 24-906(e-1)(1).• Collaborated with teachers from the Leominster, Fitchburg, Lowell, Athol-Royalston, and Harvard school districts to draft a bill proposing a series of amendments to section 37H3/4 of the Massachusetts General Law.• Secured a volunteering opportunity with the Committee to Reelect John Cronin, engaging in political canvassing, phonebanking, distributing campaign literature, and attending joint-events to ensure widespread voter outreach.Additionally, I’m spearheading an initiative to ensure political transparency across Bauchi, Nigeria. Since 1960, politicians have failed time and time again to (1) fulfill their campaign proposals; (2) act in the best interest of their nation; and (3) address topical issues impacting all walks of life. Our long-term mission bridges the gap between representatives and the people by establishing a pipeline to the facts. Through our work, we hope to facilitate streamlined access to any of the necessary resources an individual may need in order to make an informed decision and vote for the right candidate.I’m eager to get involved in any matters impacting the youth, especially those which fall under education, mental health, civil rights, or the environment.
