This role manages all Sport clubs and student groups ran by the Students’ Union. This is a highly demanding role with various pressures throughout the year. Alongside this role I have project lead on large scale projects and achieved results which have exceeded expectations. Responsibilities • Manage two part time administrators to support my role. • Manage a £400,000 budget for 120 approx. student groups. Ensure balance is correct and each group understands the financial procedures through training.• Run regular training sessions on the company’s policies. • Maintain company's' complacence with legislation and follow guidelines set by external bodies associated with the student groups. • Organise weekly facilities or transport for games for 35-46 teams • Take part in meetings and teams to deliver projects during the year including report writing on outcomes and impacts using statistical and surveyed data.• Hold regular meetings with groups to make sure they work well and trouble shoot any possible problems that can happen or help them look at opportunities available to them to exploit. • Administer procedure to ensure payments are made correctly and timely to companies, sport coaches, transport operators and suppliers for a huge range of items and services. Whilst working at the Students’ Union I have also lead on two notable projects alongside my main roleProject lead a cross department team on the Yearly Election for trustees of the charity increasing the voter turnout by 25% that year and have had an average increase of 10% in the 3 years following when I have acted as advisor. Managed the a yearly awards scheme entry for the NUS Green Impact Award of the Students’ Union building, policies and general practices to assess and reduce environmental impacts and aspects. Since managing the scheme the Union went from an accredited Union in to the scheme in 2008 to maintaining GOLD standard for the last two years.

I held a number of roles at this independently run entertainment facility. Working up from Bar staff to Duty manager responsible for the saftey of 1,800 customer on a busy night shift, organising and leading a staff force or 50+ from security to bar staff and ensuring all cash taken during the night was reconciled and processed promptly and correctly. Other roles included producing rotas, event management, running promotions and stage designs.
