CurrentAs part of the award winning Panorama production team, I manage digital files and archives in a variety of challenging mediums, in an environment where new technology, digitisation and creativity are at the forefront of developing improved access to this very valuable resource.I possess the necessary skills and knowledge of business processes, to manage conventional and unconventional media and digital assets effectively, from the time of their origination- to their deposit in the archive.My role is to influence and share this expertise with the production areas to ensure that important filming information, digital files and metadata flows into Media Central, the edit booth and eventually the archive. The specialist key interface role I deliver creates a smooth workflow, thereby allowing the media assets to become available to the current production team and to others in the future. By forging strong relationships with content-producing areas, I am central to current multi-platform production and building contemporary collections which promote the creativity and agility of the BBC to deliver new content across new platforms.My core roles are as follows: Communicating and collaborating with management, peers and production areas to ensure consistency and to influence best practice while building and maintaining close working relationships with customers in order to provide effective, highly regarded services. Management of media assets and metadata, in digital content and tape-based environments. Ability to carry out desktop editing using professional editing tools.
